Tommy –
This is my favorite bean boot. I have several pairs, but these are not quite the same quality as usual. the leather is not as nice.
KLRSKIR –
These are as good as they have always been. Craftsmanship is excellent and they are extremely comfortable with the proper socks. Great option to slip on and head out to chop some wood. They do run large so pay attention to Beanies recommendations.

Love that there’s a slip-on version of the classic bean boot! These go on quickly and hands-free, making trips out to the garden so much easier, especially on wet days when the extra boot height is so important. Reason for 4 rather than 5 stars: without the lacing, there is no lateral support and the boots frequently roll the ankle side to side. I suggest manufacturing the boot with a wider heel to help mitigate this problem.
Me M –
The boots are nice but the reason for 4 stars is because they only are offered in wide width. One “width size” doesn’t fit all!

Glad these were brought back for sale. Replacing the same boot that I have had for over 30 years. These are my go to boot.
Robert –
fit well and work in any weather
comfortable to wear
C R –
Fit great. Perfect for heavy socks. Easy to clean.

I have owned many LL Bean boots. I have always ordered the same size. It would be nice if LL Bean sold Gore Tex boot liners as was at one time included in purchase. Heavy socks are recommended but the Gore Tex liners are the answer for a perfect fit. I ordered liners on line but fear they will not be the quality I am hoping for.

Being female, I wear a 10M. However, if I choose something from the Men’s LLBean footwear, I can wear an 8M. AND, Bean has marvelous men’s mocs. Recently, I noticed that my Bean Boots were wearing down in the hill. SOOOO, a great reason to get a new pair. As I browsed, I noticed these boots. OMB (oh my bob), they were just beautiful. I had to have them . . . and I did. They are everything I could wish for in a boot: sturdy, warm, comfortable. The bonus: a smaller size than the women’s boots. I have had them for a few weeks and have warn them a number of times. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE! Everything I could wish for in a boot. AND, they are made in Maine. AMEN

I’ve worn Bean Boots for many years including several lace up’s and slip ons. Unfortunately this pair has been a disappointment in one aspect. The exterior heal is so narrow that I rolled the boot and my ankle to easily on uneven modest side slopes. Everything else is what I’ve come to expect.

Excellent item, which I use for running my snow blower. Has room for heavy socks, and of course totally waterproof. Highly recommended!
Papaduck –
Great comfortable boot. just what I was looking for,

Bought these boots as a gift for my husband & he loves them! He has lots of lace-up boots, but wanted something he could easily pull on & off. These work great & are very comfortable. LLBean does it again

I liked the style and the ability to slip it on and off but it felt a full size larger than I ordered. I checked the size marked on the boot and it was correct but the open top style made it feel like it was falling off.

The previous reviews are correct, order a size down (if not 1 1/2 sizes down, if you are not going to be wearing thicker socks with them). I wear an 8 1/2 size shoe and the size 7 Bean Boot fit well. The heel is small, and I am getting used to it, but have ‘slipped’ to one side a few times, which I didn’t on my previous waterproof boots. They are comfortable, and keep my feet warm and dry. And, they look great! Would recommend this boot.

Quality boot-heel slips to much and my socks slide
JF F –
Great shoe for snow and rainy weather but needs to be made in wider size, EE.

I had the old style that were all leather uppers for 20 years and had new soles put on them one time. Bottom line is you just can’t beat Bean quality. I wear them hunting to and from my spot. I can wear heavy Sox and slip out of them and into my waders. Wear them every morning taking the dog out. Order one size down for a perfect fit.
Tom B –
This boot has gotten too expensive and LL Bean no longer re-soles them, which is a big disapointment.
Beth –
Fantaatic boots! My husband has a back injury & these are so much easier for him to put on. We are hugs Bean Boot fans and have several different styles
Kimber –
Nice boot and nice fit in the smaller size but, the boots were too big in the ankles and his heel slipped out. Returned them for some lace ups.
Jim78 –
I bought these boots about six months ago, and despite trying very hard to like them, they are too big for me. They are a nice boot, and I ordered down a size as per the instructions, but even with heavy socks, my feet slip around in them. I will be returning them shortly.
Kenneth S –
My previous boots lasted several years and finally walked away to boot heaven after many years. The new ones are very comfortable, fit nicely and they look forward to at least ten years AND the new ones have a MUCH larger hole for my fat finger to fit in to. LLBean continues to ‘Raise the Bar in every thing they do. Keep on Keeping on. .
Timothy –
Believe the other reviewers who say this boot is 1 to 1.5 sizes big. I typically wear a 10 E and landed on size 9 with these.
I also tried the size 10, which was comically loose. Bean says they oversize their boots to accommodate thick socks. You’d have to wear some really thick socks, but if you’re up north that might be important. In mid-weight Smartwools, the 9 fits me fine.
About the width–they leave a little to be desired, but know they come with thick removable insoles. I dropped some superfeet in them and that actually helped a lot.
Probably not as high quality as my dad’s Bean boots from the 1980s, but the design is hard to beat for general chore boots or errands in the rain.

Good quality.
