Extremely comfortable solid feeling shoe –
I was very impressed when I first tried these shoes on. I myself tend to like “bigger” shoes and the sabres do the trick. Honestly, I wish that globe still made the Chet Thomas IV shoes, but these seem to be close to the design as far as comfort is concerned. These shoes are well built and also feel incredibly solid and durable. I would highly recommend these to anyone who likes the bigger shoes or laments the death of the Chet Thomas IV like me 😀

This is the second pair of Sabre’s I have owned. The first pair I wore until the air pockets blew out of the back of the shoe. Frankly these are the best skate shoes I have ever worn. I have unusual arches and bone spurs on my foot which can make it difficult to wear certain types of shoes. Globe shoes are among the most comfortable. This new pair however lacks a little bit in the arch support but that is not a downfall at all. The shoes are made to slip on and off, you can even wear them without laces and they still suction cup to your feet. These are my primary skate shoes, before I used these as around town and skate shoes and they lasted about 10 months. I feel if I just wore them skating they would have lasted over a year. I could still wear my old ones but I wore down the soles skating. If Globe keeps making these I will keep buying them as long as my feet hold up.

Comfy! At first, the padding seemed to dig into the back of my ankle slightly, however this subsided in a few days. Now, they are quite comfortable. They seem to breathe quite well for a ruggedly-built skate shoe as well.

When I first got these shoes, they felt just a little tight, but after wearing them for a day they got real comfortable. Globes seem to be erratic on how their sizing goes, but for me it was right on.

This shoe is super comfy. It is a really big, puffy shoe, but super comfortable. The Sabre seems at least a half size small, so take that into account when ordering. I’ll be using them to Downhill skate and general Freeriding also. I’ve never been one to obsess about arch support, these seem to offer a moderate amount, I have a long arch so most arch supports feel like bumps underfoot as opposed to true arches, I like the way these feel. I will be ordering another pair for sure.

They are unbelievably awesome. I mean, the comfort and the style are up to par. When I first got ’em, they were a teeny tiny bit tight but they surely open up once you wear them a couple of times. I just love the style of them and what’s amazing about them is that the shoes don’t have a tongue. I love that ’cause I don’t have to worry about re positioning the tongues when they move sideways – left/right – no complaints. Buy them, but you will feel the tightness at first but that’s gonna go away in no time. No doubt.

If you’ve had the Sabre before, this is the same shoe, just updated styling. Great shoe from Globe as usual, and nice subtle styling (which I personally like). Durable and comfortable, about all you could ask for in a skate shoe.

I love these shoes very comfortable and the best part is the attached tongue makes this one of the best skate shoes out there. If you’re like me and like to just throw on your shoes without having to tie them, then this is the shoe for you. Lace ’em up with the bars straight across and cut the rest of lace off and then you can slip them on and off very easy and quick with no tieing of the laces or you can just stuff extra on sides.

I really like this shoe, it’s about as close as you can get to the Chet Thomas IV. They offer good protection from hard landings, without sacrificing board feel. It’s hard to find a real good tech shoe in these vulcanized shoe trend days.

These shoes are great in terms of style and arch support. I love the stitched in tongue.
My only con is the sole, It’s very hard after awhile because of the air shocks that you’re standing on. I am going to try a gel insert to see If that helps.

Awesome! Ordered them one day got them less than 36 hours later. Excellent customer service. I will buy all my shoes from Zappos. Way to go! Try to bring back the CT-IV. Those were the shoes that sold me on Globe back in the late ’90s. The Sabres are the closest style to them but the Chet Thomas’ rock too.

I’ve been wearing this style globe shoe since the Chet Thomas series was released. There is no other skate shoe I would consider wearing. These are the most comfortable and long lasting skate shoes I have owned. The step-in liner keeps the shoes secure on your feet without the need for tying your shoes. I don’t like the Saber model’s styling as much as the previous Chet Thomas IV series, but they are still my favorite shoes.

This was my first purchase from Zappos, and I am very pleased. The shoes did not come with any laces, so I live chatted with customer service. The customer service lady explained to me that they do not get extra laces & instead compensated me with a credit towards my next purchase. I was so happy with the service, I ordered my son a pair of Globes also that same week.

These are my first pair of Globe and I can now say Globe is my new favorite shoe company. In comparison to Osiris which I’ve worn for years, they’re more comfortable and much more durable (I’ve worn the same pair everyday for 8 months and they still have plenty of life left in them). I was drawn to the style of them which reminded me of Osiris before they started to only make neon colored high top crap. They’re also good for lifting in.

Ordering shoes online from Zappos could not be any easier. They had a variety of the latest and old school shoes to choose from at affordable prices .If you are shooing for shoes online, I would most definitely recommend Zappos, before you look else where!

Zappos is the way to go, my shoes came in right when they said they’d be here. As for the shoes, I’ve never had such a comfortable pair in my life. If I could, I would give a 10 star rating! Unless they make an upgraded version of these by the time the ones I’m wearing now wear out, I’ll be ordering a new pair, same brand, from this same company…well, maybe a different color.

I had tried many other brands of skate shoes, and after buying my first pair of Globes years ago, I had never bought a different brand. The quality-comfort-style combo outmatches any other brand out there. The soles on these particular shoes felt a little stiff, but overall a great shoe. Also, I always buy from Zappos. I picked out and paid for these during the day, and they were literally on my doorstep the next day! And free fast shipping like this? I love it.
