I just got these, but so far I love them. I have been struggling with plantar fasciitis and lingering heel pain for over a year. This is the first pair of shoes that I have put on in a long time that immediately feel comfortable and do not seem to aggravate the sore spot in my heel. I’m hoping they will only become more comfortable with wear.
I wear an 8.5 narrow shoe normally, and the 39 narrow works great for me. I almost sized down based on other reviews, but I’m glad that I did not. The orchid is a pretty color.

My favorite birks yet! I have 5 different pairs of different styles and these were the most comfortable right out of the box with zero break in period like 2 of my others (Madrids and Franca). No break in for my Gizeh’s (2nd favorite pair) and Barbados (rubber) either. I believe the no break in period is because of the nubuck leather, its almost like suede (very soft, very pliable). I think all birks are comfy but the soft footbed are just a bit more so. This is also the first pair that are narrow and they do make a difference for me. My feet are in between narrow and medium and I don’t typically get narrow shoes, but birks are a tad wide on me so I decided to give these a try. The only difference with narrow is the look. The comfort level is the same since they mold to your feet either way. I am someone who really struggles to find shoes with good support. I have bad knees, torn hip and arthritis in my lower back so good shoes are vital and birks are always reliable for me. As with all birks, they are not meant to get wet (except the barbados and other rubbery ones) so if you want them to last, keep them dry.
I’m a true 7-7.5 (7 in most shoes, 7.5 in running sneakers) and EU 38 fits perfect!

Very comfortable. I usually wear a size 9 or 39 in sandals, and it fits perfectly. Love that the toe area is generous – plenty of room for toes to move around and spread out, not feel cramped. The soft pink color is really nice. I am wearing this mostly around the house (for WFH) and errands where I have to drive somewhere – not where I am walking miles at a time. Not sure how it would do there – I usually use sandals with back straps for that.

I have narrow feet and wear a size 8 to 8.5 shoe. Size 38 Birkenstocks are a perfect fit. I was able to get these in narrow with the soft bed. I have been wearing them everywhere with no break in needed. I also like the soft buckles.

I am new to Birkenstock! After researching sizing, I realized I needed to compare two. Determined that I need a euro size 39.5. 🙁
But I am keeping the 40 because I want to ease of a slipper around the house but still appropriate for trips to town. Plus, I love the feel of the footbed. (Hints at Vionic’s.)

I wear a women’s size 9. I received a size 9, 40 (according to the box). My feet are not wide and I always wear a medium width. This shoe was only available in narrow. I took a chance and they fit perfectly. I’m glad I opted to go for the narrow. The quality is great. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I wanted to love these but even in the narrower width they were still too wide for my feet. Even with the straps as tight as possible my feet were still sliding. So disappointed.

I am not usually a Birkenstock fan, but these shoes feel really good on my feet. I am amazed with their comfort. I am in love with the color too.

Sadly Birkenstock has changed the sizing of the narrow/medium fit to be much narrower than when this size originally came out. I can no longer comfortably wear these. When this size was first added, I could wear either width but either my foot has changed or the sizing has and I’m pretty sure it’s the sizing as I still fit other brands of shoes as normal.

Little big. But keeping. Could have gone down to a 38 from 39. Have adjusted to the tightest hole. Color is an amazing soft blue. Usually wear a 39 in Birks.

I bought a pair of lime green because they were on sale. Been fighting plantar fasciitis for a few months and my old birkenstocks weren’t feeling good at all. When I tried the new green ones on, I realized how much the soft footbed had compressed in my old birkenstocks. I’ve ordered a second pair. They will be great around the house–get me through PF. Feel so much better than the old ones.
