I have at least a half-dozen different Baggs but there was always something not quite right for an every day bag – usually too big. The Calais Bagg is just 7″ tall & 3″ deep with 3 sections to organize all my “stuff”, plus a “pocket” large enough for my iPad Mini & a hidden pocket that I use for my phone. I am short, 5’1″, & I wear my new Bagg crossbody. The 3″ depth is a nice size & allows me to carry my wallet with all my cards. I am hoping to start carrying just a couple cards, money & license in the front section which is set up just like a wallet with RFID & very secure. All in all it works for me. My Bagg is silver which is a pretty grey shade – good for any season.

The strap is shiny and cheap feeling. It is slippery and keeps sliding off my shoulder.

I had this bag for about 5 months, and was disappointed when the color of the hardware started to change on the large clasp (front and center of the purse) from silver to a cheap looking brassy tone. Bag was not laundered. Attempts to contact the company (through the ‘contact us!’ forms on their websites) to discuss quality were ignored. Buyer beware.

I had been using a bag very similar to this one (also a baggallini purse) but it lacked two wonderful features that the Calais bag has: the extra zip pocket, full size, on the front, and the zip coin pouch in the front organizer section. It really does keep things in place and easy to access quickly. The one possible weak link is the width of the bottom. (That’s why I described it as “very nearly perfect.” If I could change one thing in the design, it would be to add one more inch or so to the main section of the bag. Then I could describe it as “absolutely perfect.” I’m in my seventies and have been carrying Baggallini bags for decades, but at my age, I’m still on a quest for the ultimate bag that meets my every need. Please bring an end to my quest with just one more inch.

I was getting so tired on a tote bag, also known as a dump bag. I never could find anything in it. And when it would tip over in the car it dumped everything on the floor. Now everything is secured in its own compartments. This bag can carry more than you would think.

I am so glad I purchased this bag. There are so many pockets, a place for everything. This will be the perfect travel companion for me. The color is like a breath of fresh air after winter.The phone pocket is in a perfect place. It is RFID which is a real plus when traveling.I have several baggallini bags. This bag was exactly as described. The color is as shown, and the size of the bag with its compartments is terrific. I have gone from a much larger bag to this one and find the organization makes things much easier to find in a more compact way. I may buy this bag again in a different color. I just purchased this bag in the Midnight Blossom Print and I love it! It’s light weight, easy to organize and comfortable to carry. I wanted the same style into carry during the warm months so I ordered the bag in Shimmer Blush. The color is actually more of a muddy taupe. Disappointed, it will be returned.

I love this bag. It is exactly like the one I have had for 12 years. Everything was the same accept the detachable handle which I do love because I can always get it to lay flat. I love the bright gold tones. It is an honor and pleasure to use this bag. I was also able to take part in a sale…sale or not I would have still purchased this bag. The last one was not really big but held a lot of stuff. Great style.

I have to carry my eye glasses and like to carry sunglasses and the center of this bag offered plenty of room for both with my cell. Lots of pockets for smaller items. The wallet being on the front makes for easy access. LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!

I have the Calais Crosbody bag in three colors–Black, Tan, and Green. It used to be Provence and had gold hardware. It is exactly what I wanted! I would love to purchase it again in lovely pastel colors. I use the Black on every day!

This is my second attempt at this purse. I really wanted to like it. I did. And it is very cute (Imo). Very lightweight. However, once you start filling it up, it seems it has less inside space than anticipated. I felt that it became v full, very quickly, and didn’t lay comfortably on my hip. It kind of sticks out and doesn’t lay flat as crossbody should. I really tried and i didn’t even out too much in it!
