Kathy –
I love the look of these shoes. I have another pair of Asolo which fit me very well and plan to use them for an 18-day hike this summer. This pair would have been the back-up shoes. The toe box is medium-wide and the heel is medium, which fits my feet fine. The low profile was just a little too low to provide enough side support for my feet. Also, an insert would be needed to support my high arch. Still a fan of Asolo but I had to return them.

I love the look and feel of these shoes, but, alas, I have a really narrow foot, and these were just too wide for me. Ill be sending back and check out some ASICS. Thank you Zappos!

FINALLY! I’ve been trying to find a replacement to my beloved Clarks hiking shoes which finally bit the dust after about six years. Sadly Clarks no longer makes that style so I started from scratch. So glad to find the Asolo. They are stylish (for a hiking shoe) and super comfy with excellent support. Very good for hiking or out when you just want a sturdy shoe that will keep your feet dry. Thanks to the reviewers who came before me who said the shoe runs a 1/2 size large. They were spot on – I usually wear an 8 but ordered the 7.5 based on the reviews and the fit is perfect. I think the disparity has something to do with the fact that these are European shoes and the US sizes are conversions. Doesn’t matter – they are great shoes!

I loved this shoe and the color, however I couldn’t really find a use for them for me. I needed it to be more substantial for a winter walking shoe. It was very comfortable, but of course, I didn’t wear it outside! I think it might be too lightweight and flat for me. But if I was a winter runner, I think it would be terrific!

I wear a size 8 in Asolo hiking/trail shoes or boots. Others suggested ordering these a size down but 7.5 wasn’t available so I went with the 8 and they fit very well. Not too long and no pinching in the toe box. My heals do slip a tad but that’s normal for me because of my narrow-ish feet. Nice thick hiking socks solve that issue. The walnut brown is a good neutral color. When it comes to hiking, Asolo is my top brand.

Wanted to love but heel was much too wide for me, otherwise they were good. I tried these because I need to replace my all-time favorite pair of GoLites, a company which has been defunct for years, evidently. Shoot! I cannot find the same awesome shoe. Oh well.

I’ve worn this shoes four or five times, they are confortable and I like the style but the seam just started coming apart as you can see on the picture. It’s too bad because I really liked them

I absolutely LOVE these shoes! I wanted to wait until I had worn a few times, but cannot say enough good things. I have a high instep, so laces are always wider than the photos. This “bowling shoe” style works because my foot does not look so wide (good ol’ vanity). I believe, once I have broken them in, I’ll be able to pull the laces a bit tighter. They felt a bit stiff at first, but not at all uncomfortable. I live in the country, so walk on uneven pavement, and stability is great! The color is nice, so I may buy another pair in a darker color. I highly recommend these for serious walkers.

I was so thrilled to find these after trying to replace my beloved GoLite shoes for years (they’re not made anymore). After trying 3 different sizes, I finally got the perfect fit, a full size smaller than what I normally wear! I have fairly narrow feet, so if you do, I recommend going down at least a 1/2 size, if not a full size. Other than that, these are great and I’ll probably order a few more just in case they ever stop making these! They’re so cute and are great for hiking and walking.

I wear size 10M and these are a tiny bit long in the toe bed, however they fit well with wool socks. I prefer a shoe that allows for lots of mobility and the lacing on these can be adjusted from toe to ankle, which is also great for high instep and narrow heel. The sides of the shoe are somewhat soft and allows for pronation. Have worn them in light snow and plan to use them for 3 season moderate hiking. Good traction on the soles. I also ordered the Asolo Grid GV ML, but found them more rigid, and clunky.

I bought these as a fan of Go Lite, and they are very similar in look and feel. I wear an 8.5 of both. Unlike the Go Lite, this shoe doesn’t have the inside sole that can be used to adjust the fit. That wasn’t a problem for me because I think my feet are pretty ‘normal.’ The shoes edge of the shoe did hit my ankle bone but that was solved simply by making the shoelaces in that last eye come out instead of going in through the hole. I’ve been looking for replacement shoes for a while and I’m happy to have found these. My only complaint is that I wish the tongue matched the shoe color instead of being gray.

I know if this shoe were softer and more pliable, I would have loved it but it reminds me of an old hiking shoe that even after three years was still stiff as a board. I need my feet to feel as though they are grabbing the rocks and trail, but still with support, which I am sure these had but there is no way they would bend.

I’ve worn these shoes on a couple of short hikes and they are comfortable and are more interesting-looking than most hiking shoes. Four stars because the sole isn’t quite as sturdy as I’d like it to be for trails with lots of roots and rocks. Some people might like that the soles are somewhat flexible but I prefer a very solid sole for hiking.

Love these shoes – this is the 3rd pair I’ve purchased over the past 5 years. Comfortable and they look nice instead of clunky!

I ordered 8.5 B. I normally wear a narrow shoe and I have had the Asolo Drifter hiking boots for years and absolutely love them. However because these are lower profile, my heels slipped a little too much even with a thicker sock and I had to return them. But they are really cute on and I love that they kind of just look like a bowling shoe/sneaker for kicking around. They were pretty supportive and I definitely felt like there was good cushioning between me and the ground. Materials were by far the nicest of the hiking shoes I tried, it was hard to send them back for that reason.

FIts great, roomy toebox, lots of compliments. Love them!!!

This is the Most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. With laces to the toe, I can adjust the fit so the shoes are crazy comfortable, like I’m not even wearing shoes. I even got a pair for my 82 year old mom. She has had surgery on her feet and one foot is a size bigger than the other. These shows fit her fantastic and they are the only shoe she wears now!

Love these shoes. I first bought them in Iceland and was happy that I could find them in the U.S. on Zappos. I wear a size 9 1/2, but order nine in these shoes and they fit perfectly. I use them every day on my walks around the neighborhood and they provide great cushioning and stability.

I liked the shoes and would have kept them had they fit properly. I wear a size 10 in US sizing or a 41 in European sizing. I have ECCO shoes in size 41. These shoes were strangely long in the toe box. The tag inside the shoe said they were a size 10 US and a 42 1/2 in European sizing. Didn’t make sense, but either way, they were too big.

So wanted these to fit. They’re so cute but my narrow heel didn’t match up with the wide heel on any Asolos I’ve tried. Also, long.

I ordered a bracket of sizes, as reviews suggested sizing was way off. My normal 9 was perfect! Love this quality brand. I have worn an ankle hiking version of this sho for years. Still in great shape, to still get compliments on them. Old school quality!
Dawn –
I seldom write reviews but these shoes have proven their worth!
I bought them because I hate hightop hiking boots for weight and fit, but also because I need a roomy toe box. My pair was purchased in late 2019. I wear them daily and on hikes. It’s now approaching the four year mark and I am just now considering a new pair. The tread is nearly gone at the ball of the foot but they still grip the ground well enough to out preform my sneakers on a hike. Only the tread is showing its age. The rest of surface looks decent. I still get compliments and inquiries on where to buy them.
The photo makes the red look a little faded but that’s dust.

Very comfortable

I think I’m going to like these shoes! I bought them for an upcoming trip to Portugal and Spain, where there will be plenty of cobblestone streets and steep inclines. I will be traveling in November, the rainy season, so need to have shoes that are waterproof as well. The length and width are great for me, and my orthotics fit. The suede is soft and the collar and tongue are flexible enough to not dig in to my ankles.

Bought these for my wife. She wears them to work and says they feel great
