I bought these a running shoe for my teenage son. They fit his high instep well and he appreciates the roomy toe box. He thought the cushioning may have been a tad too much but then his old shoe was a Brooks with little cushioning. Overall a good running shoe at a good price.

Uncommonly good: very comfortable, well-cushioned, flexible, certainly reasonably priced. “Style?” What does that really mean in this context? For people interested in making a fashion statement with their running shoes? That seems comical. The reason these shoes are so good – and so reasonably priced – is because they evidently lack the fancy plastic polyurethane in the midsoles that purportedly enhance performance but generally negligibly and can have for some folks painful drawbacks. This 10 version much more resembles the excellent GEL-Excite 8 than the 9. The 9 has a heel tab stiff as a board. That can painfully stress tendons. The 8 has a soft heel tab. The 10 is pretty soft, not quite as soft as the 8 but a huge improvement over the 9.

Good cushion on both sides of foot. I have metatarsalgia and with this model i feel okay and without pain.

Out of the box, Gel-Excite looks like a standard running shoe. It has that “running shoe” look without the fancy overlays, midsole cut-outs, or bright neon of the more expensive running shoes these days.
This shoe gave me the same impression on my first walk around the kitchen as I found in the first 10 miles: basic comfort and no issues with ride, feel, or fit.
This shoe just works. It does what it looks like it will do and what I expect it to do. Also a great value for the money.

I love these shoes. They fit my 4e, x-wide toe box with room for custom orthotics after removing the supplied insole. I replaced it with a plain Dr Scholls pillo insole.
When you find the right Asics shoe, there’s nothing better. These have just enough give to adapt to your foot. Unfortunately, Asics makes dozens of models but incredibly few that come in xw with neutral pronation. No more cross trainers, no outdoor shoes, no other styles with a similar fit. It’s so frustrating! I’ve worn Asics most days for several years but I guess there aren’t enough people like me to drive the necessary profits. Please keep making these incredible shoes but in lots more colors.

Asics are by far the best sneakers out there. They are the only brand I can wear and feel comfort from the first day. I stand on my feet all day and always comfortable. I wish people would try them, and quit thinking they need to wear a popular brand like Hoka or Nike.

Currently dealing with sciatic nerve pain, so good fitting, comfortable shoes are a must. Would not even have thought about buying running shoes for everyday wear, but saw a couple of articles written by podiatrists who recommended running shoes due to all of the technology that has gone into their development. These shoes are wonderful, very lightweight, with arch support that is strong enough to ensure good posture as well as greatly minimized pain. Considering buying another pair in a different color!

They fit good. They do have a lot of cushion in them when you walk. More than other Asics and I own several pairs.

Perfect fit. Felt a little narrow at first. But I adjusted the laces and they’re great now. If you’re between medium and wide, get wide. Very cushiony and springy. Good support in arch to prevent pronation.
