I was waiting until after the first of the year to purchase 2 new colors of the Gamma LT, the dark bluer and light brown. I’m an XS size and these often sell out quickly. Now I’ve returned to find no Gamma LT, just the Gamma Pant (revised) and the other two colors (which had my size in stock) are now gone. POOF, disappeared from the site. I’ve checked the Outlet, but it says there’s nothing on the site. This makes no sense. The stock is somewhere, and what does Revised mean, when they seem to be the exact same pant.

Bought these pants last year under Gamma LT name in size XL. The fit was perfect for my size 40″ waist. Wanted to buy a few more pairs of these pants and shorts now but noticed that the sizing has changed from S,M,L,XL,XXL to 28 through 38. I’ve tried the size 38 and they are just too tight on my waist compared to the size XL. The sizing categories of 28 through 38 make it very difficult for older men like me to buy and enjoy these awesome Arc’teryx products. Please bring back the S through XXL sizing categories for the pants and shorts.

I’m really glad these were switched to numerical sizing. In the past the M was too loose in the waist and the S too tight in the legs. The 32 now fits in between those so I finally kept a pair. The regular length fits longer than the regular length of the Quickdry or Gamma SL which is great for me as I am in between the regular and tall inseam measurements. That said, the Gamma AR still fit me the best so I wish these were a bit slimmer like those. They feel nice and stretching and kept me dry when I spent an hour in some light but consistent rain.

I bought 3 pair of Gamma pants in various colours. I was so pleased that they are now offered in shorter leg lengths. The first pair I purchased are too long but that was all that was available previously. I use them winter( with long underwear) and summer without. Perfect for walking or hiking.

I bought a pair of Gamma pants for an upcoming week long trek in Scotland. I’m mostly on trips in the arid mountain west so needed something a little different for the wet. So far I have only worn these on some local training hikes, but have a good idea of most of the features. The fabric on this revised version of these pants is a little heavier weight than the 2022 model (got to see both in store), and seems like it will hold up well to abuse while offering a little more warmth than technical pants from some other brands. If the water resistance is as good as they claim, these will work good for my trip. The fabric has a little stretch to it, but less than other brands I’ve tried. Overall I’m very happy with the fabric, and the fit. These are not pants you would want to wear in summer though. I found them to be a little too warm for anything over about 60 F (16 C). As for features, the two main pockets in front have a decent size, but they uses a mesh for the pocket material instead of a solid fabric, probably to dry quicker. I only had a set of keys in my pocket for my short 10 mile training walk and had significant chafing, so the mesh pockets are useless for anything that isn’t lightweight. There is a leg pocket on the right that fit my phone and was quite nice. No leg pocket on the left. No back pockets. I can understand no back pockets, for when wearing a harness or a backpack, but don’t understand why a second leg pocket on the left wasn’t added to make up for the loss of the back pockets, or for, you know, left handed people. The pants close with a snap at the top and a g-hook attached to an internal belt. The belt is difficult to adjust, but once adjusted you are set. Like a lot of snaps, unzip too far and it pops open. Getting the snap back on without undoing the belt is extremely difficult. They should have used a rivet instead of a snap. And finally there is the price. At this price, more thought should have gone into the design. The water repellent warmer fabric is a great feature, but I’m not convinced yet it was worth what I paid, which was about what I would spend on 3 pairs from another manufacturer. The upcoming trek will bear out their worth.

Cut of the legs is great, they have taper yet enough space to hike easily.
Would also really appreciate if there was no belt so I could use my own money belt while traveling.

I’m 5’7″, 135lb – I purchased a 30 Short. I’ve owned several pairs of Arcteryx pants: Gamma Rock, Sigma FL, and the Lefroy. My primary activity is walking 7-9mi a day.
The Lefroy is super lightweight and perfect for warmer weather, but I wanted something with a bit heavier for wind protection. Spec wise, these seemed to fit the bill the best. I do miss the fact that the integrated belt no longer has a hook and multiple loop setup like the Gamma Rock. These pants have the same adjustable slider that my other pants had. They tend to slip over time, which can be annoying, but not a deal breaker.
These are definitely roomier than previous pairs of pants I’ve had, which is a nice change of pace. The cargo pocket is very spacious and convenient. I haven’t tried cinching the ankles at all, but it’s a nice feature.
Overall, these are very breathable and lightweight. Perfect for activities below 60*F!

I have three pairs of these pants and really love them.. except the black ones were a bit large and the fabric is a little more coarse than the others. My bad for not returning before I washed them.

I am really happy that ArcTeryx has added additional leg length sizing to their line up. I have purchased all colors & can wear them casually when travelling, not just for walking & hiking as I have done in the past. Great fit & quality!

Would like to see Arc’teryx add at least ONE back pocket, otherwise a great pants overall. I bought 4 of this pants and have used it for international travel. Love the anti-stink so you can wear it for multiple days. Moves great with your body!

I’ve had these pants for a while now and have climbed a lot in them. The material is holding up well to rock abrasion and show no signs of wear or seams coming apart, which is a big issue with other climbing pants. They stretch a lot for freedom of movement and the ankle drawstring prevents the pant bottom to not get stuck underneath my climbing shoe. I really like the zippered pockets for securely holding valuables. The material is just thick enough to hold up to tough Yosemite granite but just thin enough to not overheat on warm days. I’d say they’re my favorite climbing pant yet.
